Day 1: Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Start early in the morning from Kigali, our company representative will meet you and brief you about your 2 days gorilla safari in Uganda from Kigali. thereafter, you will proceed with a city to explore Kigali city or visit notable attractions such as the Genocide Memorial Centre where you learn about the brutal killings during the 994 genocides where thousands of people lost their lives, also you will visit natural historical museum, Kilimanjaro market among other places. After the city tour, you will proceed with lunch and start your journey to Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park.
The drive time takes approximately 4-5 hours to reach Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. Cross the Rwanda-Uganda border at Cyanika or Katuna. on the way, you will be amazed by the stunning rolling hills of Rwanda, terraced farmlands among others. Make sure to have your passport and necessary documents for the border crossing. Proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, known for its population of mountain gorillas. Arrive in Bwindi in the afternoon and check into your accommodation near the park for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast, and proceed to the park’s headquarters for a pre-trek briefing. You’ll be assigned to a gorilla group to track, and a professional guide will lead you into the forest. The duration of the gorilla trek can vary, ranging from 2 to 6 hours depending on the gorilla group’s location on that particular day.
Once you locate the gorillas, you will spend a precious hour observing and photographing them from a safe distance, you will watch them feed, groom young ones among other daily activities.
After the gorilla trek, return to the lodge for lunch. Thereafter, check out from your accommodation and depart for Kigali across the Rwanda-Uganda border back to Kigali. The driver will drop you off at the Kigali airport for your fight home or to your preferred location.
